Benefits of woven pp packaging in human life
Concept of woven pp packaging
PP woven fertilizer packaging (in English: PP woven fertilizer) is a type of bag made from PP woven fabric (woven polypropylene), mainly milky white or transparent. However, with the development of modern technology, PP woven packaging is designed with more styles and colors, bringing many benefits to human life.
So what is woven pp fabric?
PP is the abbreviation of the English word Polypropylene, which is a product of propylene polymerization… has high mechanical properties, is quite hard, not flexible, and does not stretch, so it is made into fibers. It can be easily torn when there is a small cut or puncture.
PP woven fabric in rolls or also known as fabric
- Transparent thread, high surface gloss, high printability, clear print.
- PP is colorless, odorless, tasteless, non-toxic. When burning, it has a light blue flame, has a flexible flow, and has a gradually burning smell like rubber.
- Due to its high mechanical properties, it helps plastic packaging withstand horizontal and vertical tension, tensile force and impact force.
- Currently, there are 2 main types of PP woven fabric: transparent PP woven and opaque PP woven.
Transparent thread is pure woven PP, high surface gloss. In production, people will add a little additive to increase the ability to separate PP layers and reduce costs. Adding additives depending on the ratio will give different PP quality.
Nowadays, the need to prevent counterfeit and poor quality goods is so great that most customers use transparent fiber to see the product inside, the less additives the better the quality of woven PP.
Classification of PP woven packaging
Woven PP packaging is classified by structure into single-layer PP packaging (only one layer) and multi-layer PP packaging, which means 2 or more layers.
- Single layer PP packaging is a type of packaging that has only one layer of woven PP coated with an additional layer of plastic.
- Multilayer PP packaging means the type with 2 or more layers including a layer of woven PP laminated with a layer of BOPP film or magelize film or Kraft paper through a layer of PP coated plastic.
Depending on the requirements of the customer, as well as the nature of the product that needs to be preserved, we can choose the appropriate type of PP packaging. PP packaging is the simplest and lowest cost type, used for product lines that do not need to be preserved too carefully. As for some chemical products, fertilizers, need to be preserved more carefully, some lines need high waterproofing and moisture resistance, so people often use multi-layer PP packaging, although the cost is higher, the product is protected longer and safer. In addition, many customers also request to add PE bags or HD bags inside so that the product is maintained in the best condition for a long time. For example, packaging for fertilizers, rice seeds, chemicals, construction materials, … So we have finished learning what PP packaging is and its classification. I will continue to go into how to produce PP packaging.
PP woven packaging printing production process
Woven PP packaging is often used in the fertilizer, chemical, food, livestock industries, etc. However, to understand its structure and production process, most users do not fully understand. Please refer to the production process of woven PP packaging as follows:
- PP fiber creation: PP plastic granules are loaded into the hopper of the fiber creation device, through the suction machine, brought into the extruder, heated and melted, the screw extrudes the liquid plastic to the mold mouth with length and thickness adjusted as required, the formed plastic film goes through the water tank to cool and shape, the film goes into the cutter shaft to cut into fibers with the required width (2-3 mm), the fiber goes through the heating unit to stabilize the fiber and then goes to the fiber winding machine. During the fiber creation process, fiber waste and burrs of the plastic film are collected by suction, cut and crushed and brought back to the extruder.
- Weaving PP fabric sheets: PP yarn rolls are fed into a 4-shuttle circular loom to weave into PP fabric tubes, which are slit into PP fabric strips through a mechanism to wind into PP fabric rolls.
- PP fabric coating: PP fabric rolls are transported by forklift and installed on the coating machine. The PP fabric sheet is coated with a 30mm thick layer of PP plastic to increase the moisture-proof fabric fiber bond.
- Sleeve forming system: The coated PP fabric roll and Kraft paper roll are sent to the sleeve forming system. Here, the PP fabric is printed with the brand name and then inserted into the Kraft paper tape to form a tube, through the tube cutting system and valve to form a sleeve and taken out via the conveyor belt.
- Head sewing and bagging machine: the bag tubes are fed evenly to the automatic valve folding system and to the head sewing and bagging machine at the same time through a chain system with lugs. The finished packaging products are packed by conveyor belt.
- Packing: The packaged products are checked, bundled and stacked on pallets and transported by forklift to the warehouse.
Benefits of woven pp packaging in life

- The size and load of the bag are very diverse, customized according to customer needs. The bag can hold from 5kg to 100kg.
- The fabric can be coated or not, or laminated with OPP film and we can also add a PE lining bag inside to increase protection for the product.
- This type of bag can be printed using Flexo or Gravure printing technology.
- PP woven packaging is widely used everywhere to contain granular, powder, pellet or flake products for many industries such as agricultural products (rice, corn, beans, cassava, salt, sugar, …), minerals, fertilizers, animal feed, packaging goods …
